SAP India to expand business in Bangladesh

SAP India Pvt Ltd, the world’s leading business software company Wednesday announced its plans to expand footprint in Bangladesh, focusing the country’s rapid growing telecom industry.

Bangladesh being one of the top mobile phone markets in the Asia-Pacific region, have a significant demand for mobile internet data and mobile entertainment services, said Ajay Turki, Head Telecommunication, SAP Indian sub-continent .

“Here SAP has much to offer to the telecom service providers to meet the growing demands of innovative and technologically advanced telecom services like 3G and others, Mr Turki said while addressing a press briefing at a city hotel called to announce SAP’s business expansion plan in the country.

He also said with approximately 52 million existing subscribers and several more potentials, the necessity to provide comprehensive value added services and excellent customer satisfaction is intensifying the competition amongst service providers. SAP ensures cutting edge business solutions and continued service innovation to them, he added.

To accelerate its growth plan in Bangladesh, SAP announced its partnership with Computer Services Limited (CSL) under its SAP Extended Business Programme, to cater to the demands of the telecommunications industry.
